Ama Guurso ama Waxbarasho Raadso!

Postby kambuli » Thu Apr 09, 2009 10:23 am

I always laugh at this..Also I never get tired of posting again..

In the nomads when the boy reaches 15-17 his family calls him and sits with him..and this is what they tell him:

Waar heedhee laba kala dooro..Ama guurso ama waxbarasho doono...

So the one who chooses to seek education is sent to a relative in one of the cities..at the age of 16 he starts school and later in his life he/she says "Hebel isku class baanu ahayn"

Its a little different for me. I get this from my uncle back home every time i call and his around "Waar ama guurso oo caruur keen, ama maal keen". And on top of that he uses my lack of caruur keenid as an excuse for him having over twenty damn kids with multiple wives, apparently hes picking up the slack. frigg.

Gatspy,

It happens to all of us. I have been told to do my part for Kin and Clan and produce the next generation of warriors to defend and promote tribal interests.

AW and I guess they'll start their defending and promoting training at a very young age. Man this dude says to me shit like "r u having a hard time finding a decent one, cause I can snap my fingers and get u a good one here". I gotta beg him not to snap anything all the time.

Gatspy,

Dude flip the script on him, say Yep. I love to do it to those nosy relatives who come up with such offers. I told my Habaryar that I would wait for her daughter to grow up and come 18 which is in about 10 years and she was shocked. Or my favorite reply, "Gabar ma ii haysa?"

Gatspy.

I find it odd u are unmarried. You live in Toronto where the selection is great and the bar for eligible Faraxs is set so low.

loool.
True, selection is great!

But I wouldnt say the bar for eligable faraxs' is set to low...more like non-existant. There are barely a handful of 'walkable' somali men here...trust!

this goes for both girls and guys these days. my mate, her mom always, naa orod guurso, ama shaqayso. she dont wona neither.

life was easier for girls/women back in the days. you stayed at your parents house, and some dude will sweep you of your feet, you get new huse with everything, you dont have to worry about work or even higher education.
