This is about a half Somal half Jamaican girl from new york and her experience to try to connect with her father's people, I had no idea some somalis could be this nasty, poor girl.

"My eyes are widely open as they can get, and let me tell u this; Just cuz ur drunk Somali dad once done ur mother doesn't mean u are one of us. U are right u Jamaican and not Somali. Honestly, u making sick by jst combining SOmali and Jamaican. Do us a favour and dont associate urself with us. Cuz u father did it doesn't mean its Okai. U sound like a daughter whose father was murder, and basically argues that since her dad murdered someone it ok to murder ppl."

I see alot of people writing about jamaicans and how jamaican r ugly,.....s and the list goes on.. I m mixed with Jamaican and Somalian. My father is Somalian R.I.P DADDY.my father died of cancer.MOther is Jamiacan. I just don't understand why Somalians hate Mixed Somalians? I have not yet came cross One Somalian that doesn't say one poistive thing about Jamaicans. I wanna meet my Somalian People, If this what Somalian People are then i don't thing i want to meet Somalians then. I see the hater in ya eyes, i wish i can take the pain, the hater away from ya. As a person there's so much i can do. I see how good my mother talks about Somalian but from what i see My Somalian people don't seem to like me cuz i m Jamaican. You can't put all Jamaican in one category.I really had to write this my Somalian User.Next time plz before you talk about some1 race Think before you open your mouth n walk in there shoe.

I have not yet came cross One Somalian that doesn't say one poistive thing about Jamaicans

Its usually not the people they hate, its their culture.Somalis demonize them so our children dont become "like them" or get with em. Nothing personal, just business.

As she said it, she considers herself Jamaican so she should treat Somalis just like any Jamaican would and expect the same treatment from Somalis that would be dished out to a Jamaican. I hate complainers, grow a fockin thick skin or don't put yourself in situations where you are at the risk of being humiliated. You can't have your pie and eat it too all the time.

BaasAbur, the thing is.....the girl is from the Jamiacan part of NY, she been around her mother's people her whole life, so it's more than natural to see herself more of a Jamaican than somali or vise versa depending on the setting she grew up in. You cant hold her against finding or trying to mingle with her father's people, obviously she didnt limit herself to one particular race etc but it's very ugly dhaqan they way she was treated by her own people, again u cant hold her against complaining about the way she was received on her journey to discover her father's roots, it would be another story if she was a troll or anti-somali bigot.

Amyst, I understand walle,......I remember this long hair skateboarder kid in his early teens stopped me one day and was like "waryaa waryaa", he came over and was like "man I am somali etc..." and later I find his father abandoned him and was living with his new wife and kids in Florida, and this kid even knowing that was happy to see a fellow somali :shock:

, to tell u the truth, I myself wasnt kind to somali mix offsprings but wallahi it's very shameful hadaa u fiirisid. :down:

I understand it is not their fault saaxib but they really need to grow thick skin. When I lived in the north east, I used to come across all these young (accident) mixed kids who would ran at any black person they see because they always felt a part of them was missing since they never knew their black fathers. They are trying to fill a void and being rejected by the same people they seeked out must really hurt but it is something that is bound to happen and it is not limited to Somalis.

I am sure a lot of Somalis (like you) accepted her with open hands but there will always be people who are not even fond of what she represents, a kid born out of wedlock to a foreign mom and Somali alcoholic. Somalis are not even kind to their own bastards let alone mid ajnabi laga dhale. I think the sooner they accept what they are (multiracial) and just live their lives without looking for some people that would not give a rats ass about them, the better it will be for them.

Why is it that half white kids are not treated half as bad. The thought of a Somali being hateful towards someone just because they're Jamaican or even half Jamaican is embarrassing :down:

i know half Ugrainian girl who hates somalis coz somalis are hateful towards her
or never accepted her as fellow somali.

Somebody tell her that sometimes life suks, move on....

The average Somali person is harsh and at the same time thickskinned, so we're used to the abuse, b/c we were raised with it and we're perpetrators ourselves, but outsiders can get traumatized. I've never been to a Somali wedding where the bride and groom weren't getting dissed during and right after the wedding, most of the times its their own relatives doing the hating.
