Bv, culture is our most important asset and analog to our cherished past history. you can find alot in our culture that is both comforting and entertaining. personally, i like our gabayo and suugaanta. it varies into my parts like the dhaanto, baraanbur, heeso, maahmaahyo, etc. i think within these acts and sayings we have what somalis want to be but somehow cant. everytime i read a maahmaah the first thing that comes to mind is 'why arent somalis using this' and how come this is not prevalent in our culture. if you go the gabay is where all our history lies from intii soomalia ka hore iyo inta danbe both of rivalries and victories, independency and indecencies, of the civil war and the thereafter. i always find time to come back to these things when i feel sorry for my country or people. i just wish we could harness and manipulate our furious loyality to our clans so that it is manifested in the goods and sayings that history has recorded. i am also proud of our culture when i see people like andrejewski and I.m lewis and the russian reporter going back to our country and the diapora community to gather our culture and maahmaahyo. or when i see some white person in europe or america learning our language and thinking they have accomplished and adopted or learned the language of a superior race. i am also immensely proud when i see the oromos that are dressed, act, and eat, and talk like we do. these people have essentially embraced the somali culture and costume.
i see you are learning alot from snet, do doubt, the consequence of openning every thread, but selective next time. read people like Kambuli and others that talk about the rightousness and rightness of our culture than the hateful and despicable acts of hutuking
