There was a time I truly believed in their ideologies and thought they were the solution to many social ailments that are widespread in much of the Muslim world. That they wanted to establish Shari'ah rule & uphold the religion of Islam. Bring peace & stability, right all the injustices that were rampant in the society, sort of bring back a resemblance to the old Khalifah days.
But lately, I've come to realize these two are nothing but a bunch of deluded & self-righteous nincompoops. In their eagerness to establish their rule, they have violated many sanctities starting with not shedding the blood of a Muslim. Their disregard for Muslim life is what has put me off more than anything else & their blatant abuses of the Shari'ah. At first, when the Taliban & Al-shabaab were fighting kuffaar armies, the loss of civilians could be excused, but how can anyone excuse their actions after Ethiopia has pulled out & Taliban are fighting to bring down Pakistan whose Mushrik next door neighbor is dying to invade?
I see them as hypocrites that should be dealt with at any cost. They have no respect for the religious community, no respect for the lives of the civilians, no long-term goals, no vision, no rationalizing, no concept of comprimising. All they have is a fanatical obsession to rule & this zeal is a very costly one that does not promise any solution in the long-term.
