I also believe Burco should have been the capital, i actually would love Berbera to be the Capital but its way too Hot, and Hargeisa is like so close to Ethiopia, and as you said they cant even supply any water to the 1million people in Hargeisa alone...

The region hargeisa is located, maroodi jeex has more water than Togdheer. Burco boasts under ground water pipelines installed by former regimes. Hargeisa currently gets water from one source geed deeble which is located further North of the city and hardly reaches the southern tip of the city aka ciidagale areas. The maroodi jeex river bed has lots of water reservior below the surface only if there were rigs to pump it out. There is no govt in somaliland now but when we get proper govt all will be good.

Hargeisa is perfect capital, got nice weather, beautiful mountains sarounding it; strategic location etc..

Naah I like the role of Burco as it is, the provisional capital that it has always been. Hargeisa the capital, berbera the economical hub.

Burco under the veneer of aggression and humor mar mar waxaan is idhaahda wa magaalo amran, reer burco fejignaantan ku jeclahay... rer burca laga haya " dhaldhalaalka japan dheg haw dhigin waa dheeho berru dhacaya" statement so profound a whole book could be written about its meaning. Also, I dare anyone to argue Riyale and the NSS junta could take root in burco the way it has in hargeisa, I somehow believe that reer burco population would've long entered the madaxtooyada to grab these nss junta by the forehead and drag them in the streets as has been done in many capitals of the world with corrupt ruler thugs.
