Telemarketers from India

Postby Beenaale_No1 » Thu Jun 25, 2009 6:36 am

I always get them. Annoying as fuck. Answered a call this morning from them asking for my brother in law, and keep in mind his surname is Luqman.

*ring ring*
Me: Hello?
Alan: Hello is this Mr Lookman? Mr Lookman? I am Alan Carter from Newcastle calling for..
Me: You don't sound like you're from Newcastle..
Alan: That is great, now can I interest you in our free package..
Me: hahahahahahahahahaha
Alan: Mr Lookman? Can I interest you?

At this point I hung up, but he had the thickest Indian accent ever and I was in stitches. One of those things you have to hear to find funny really. I usually get these bellends offering me kitchen windows, life insurances and all that crap. Next time I get them I'll play along and imitate their thick Indian accent and record it for entertainment purposes.

That is mean, they're just hustling like everyone else. You don't need to make them feel like shit

Yes I kinda do, cos I always get unwanted calls from. And why cant they just say their name is Rabi Patel rather than Alan Carter. It's not gonna impress me more as they expect.

Anyway, I hate cold calling whether they are white, black or Indian. It's a shit job and they are annoying the public.

You got it lucky dude, at least their calling you, imagine calling them for your internet troubleshooting, I deal with them on a weekly basis. whenever my internet starts to act weird, first thing I do is call them up and what was suppose to take no more than couple minutes turns to hrs of complete misunderstanding and confusion. Just dealing with them madax xanuun aanba ka qaadaa.

Funny thing is though when you ask for their manager it's the same dude, but tells you a different name to throw you off, I didn't fall for it one bit, I kept calling him by the first name he stated in the first place.

Even major Banks are doing these. I have an account with BOA and when ever I call I talk to Kevin who miracle has an Indian Accent.

So far CitiBank is the only one who has people who you could understand.

They don't call me. Weird huh? You should put your number in the national do not call list. The only way I'd have to deal with them is if I buy and Ipod, or any electronic device and I don't know how to work it. They answer the phone with such a strong accent, I have to listen carefully cuz more than half of the words went over my head.

Oh yeah, I was trying to pay for my plane ticket on the phone and this man!! OMG this man. I told him to slow down, and he is still talking too fast. He told me my confirmation number so many times, I finally gave up.I told him to send my confirmation number and my date of deportation to my email.

"You leave the airport at si fi"
"I leave at six forty five?"
"No, si fi"
"Repeat it one more time"
"Si fi"
"Oh, seven fifty?"
"MA'AM! I said you will be departing at si fi"
"You know what, you can send it to my email."

The conversation went too long while I was telling him my credit card number, he was stopping me like every other number. I had a hard time with that man.How the hell can they get mad cuz I don't understand them? They are the ones who wanted to take calls from the states

That is so true, have you watched ‘The other end of the line’ by any chance? When the Indian girl ‘supposedly’ all American ‘from San Francisco’ falls head over heels with Jesse Metcalfe... Lool so recommend it, according to that movie they’re even required to take classes and learn all about their ‘character and its location’

I just find the whole element of having a character so amusing... Unfortunately, it just doesn’t make their job any easier for them! But yea... good luck to them because, at the end of the day money is money and it makes this evil world go round!
