Divided yet active. Flag hoisting and other commemorative celebrations are symbolic. Somalis in Minnesota are politically and economically powerful. It is unusual for any serious political candidate not to have Somali staff.

People are nothing without unity. Even though Sade is overwhelming majority of Ohio, unity with all Somalis living there is stressed from what I have been told

Everything in Minnesota is seen from clan lenses. It is good in a way since it activates the youth to be more politically engaged but much of what they do is done against fellow Somalis. Political maturization will take this people far.

What good is engagement if it is for negative use? Sxb there is nothing good that can come out of that. I would rather a political unaware patriot than an aware i.diot.
