1) Barbaric public punishments are about deterrence.

ANS: there are two problems with this argument. One, where is JUSTICE? Deterrence and justice are not the same. Where is the justice of the victim and the accused :?:

The victim's family got their justice, lol @ where is the justice for the man who raped, killed, and cut into pieces a kid for easily disposal

ANS: If gruesome public punishment are such a good tool against crimes, why did Europeans, who by all objective measures used as gruesome if not more gruesome public punishments less than 200 hundred years ago, stopped using those punishments?

Then why use the deterrence rationalization? Why the public spectacle? You need to sort out your reasoning before you type.

If this public execution is about justice then it need not be public. And if it was about deterrence then justice wasn't served.

You need to make up your mind about which line of rationalization you wanna use.

Close but no cigar. You're close but not quite there. Try again. I gave away the answer with my hint.

Damn, you must be dumb.

The fact it is public puts fear into the hearts of all the other pedos out there who attempt to do the same thing. Especially this "spectacle" in Yemen is a result of secular based penal code (unless you want to say secular penal codes do not give out death penalty in that case we get into YES they do and some of them do it horribly like electrocution and the needle). Why is it public? Cultural differences, the man in the East and the West are not the same and there is no reason to expect them to be the same. All the decadence in the west is just as shocking to a man from that Eastern society as this public spectacle is to a man from the West.

The punishment as two objectives. 1) carry out justice and put the criminal to the full powers of the Law and 2). make sure such action is never committed again by publicizing the justice. If the trial is public, why shouldn't the sentencing be? You make no sense with your usual blabber.

p.s. And we are discussing this all in RELATIVE terms. The justice system of say Sweden would view this execution in Yemen and the needle execution in the USA with the same lenses whether one is public or not.

U get what u give! Kill him . There is no room for this kind of activity in any civilized soceity.

About the doing it in public, it wont make any sence to hide it.

If u cant get the message across why do it at all?

By the way, for those advocating for the west(not that I've anything against the west) and calling this act badownimo,

how are u going to explain Mcffein or what ever his name was the guy who bombed some buildings in Oklahoma, his deathrow

has been broadcasted live on the internet?

U see. Again its all about the message here!

lol @ Advo. Them Alshabaab niggaz can use u bro

A person may be a believer in the evening, but he may get up as an unbeliever in the morning. He should have been sodomized and then killed, but either way this was great.

By the way Yemenis, Saudis etc. are all sick when it comes to that shid. Liking little boys and stuff. Even Somalis after 20 years of lawlessness are less sick than them when it comes to stuff like that
