Ok so my travels outside Maakhir included North Somalia East and West. On fridays, salat jumah, I wore ethnic Maakhiri clothing- jalabiya /bisht- the Somalians assumed I was a religious Arab. Truely and it must be history Somalians are the biggest Arab ass kissers but they can't admit it. Outside Maakhir I wore the bisht and everyone would greet me in salaams followed by are you a Arab. Clearly since the whole Al-Shabab crusade I'd reply yes but I am a Maakhiri.
What I've noticed is Somalians listen to outsiders, not to my suprise the Somalians would follow me assuming I was clergy asking me which part of Arabia I was from. And reciting the quran, I found this odd but realized us Arabs have led and tamed Somalians once we landed on the Horn millennias and centuries ago.
