Winning lottery ticket unclaimed

Postby Ka darag » Fri Aug 07, 2009 6:48 pm

A £300,000 lottery prize for a ticket bought in one of London's poorest boroughs has gone unclaimed.

The ticket, matching five numbers and a lucky star in the 24 July draw, was bought in Tower Hamlets, east London.

A Lottery spokesman said: "We're desperate to find this ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings - this prize could make a difference."

The mystery winner has until 20 January to claim the prize or it will go to good causes.

The spokesman continued: "Someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.

"We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win."

Tower Hamlets is London's most deprived borough.

The winning balls on 24 July were 14, 15, 25, 35 and 47 while the lucky stars were numbers five and nine.

LOL when I heard that I was really hoping it was a Somali...anyone who lives in Tower Hamlets needs to get the hell out or be doomed forever. Lets hope a Somali wins and sends their kids to live in a nicer area.

The person has the ticket it's just he/she is hiring personal adviser and developing a business plan. When he/she has everything ready, he/she would come forward

and Oh 300,000 is nothing. The powerball in the States runs to 300 to 400 million
