Somalia: Helicopters flying low range spotted in Mogadishu
MAREEG.COM-Herd of helicopters were seen hovering over Mogadishu the capital city of Somalia on Saturday.
“We have seen almost 8 choppers coming from the horizon of the sea, and 7 vessels which we thought were warships, we were scared and returned our boats to the shore” said Ali the spokesman of the Somali Fishermen speaking to Somaliweyn radio on Saturday.
The spokesman also added that the helicopters crossed and flew over the districts along the shore, but caused no harm to the residents in these villages, but caused great panic and anxiety among the residents in these districts.
The helicopters eventually landed on the ships which we think they have previously taken off from.
This will not be the first time helicopters to be spotted hovering over some districts in Mogadishu.
There are some reports saying that there are some ships laden with military equipments which have anchored at Mogadishu international seaport.
