Secession can work but it has to be done in a proper way not like it was done in 1992 by Abdirahman tur (AUN) who later on was against it.
The proper way of doing a break up:
1. Free and Fair Referendum on the Union between Konfur and Wuuqoyi - A Vote for and against it to be held in the North and South with ordinary citizens voting on the issue.
2. If the break up vote wins, then the issue becomes on dividing the costs and assets of the Union between the two future nations. All the debts and assets are to be split among the two.
3. A demarcation of borders would have to be established along with resolving issues of citizenship, property rights of citizens in both areas etc.
The reason why Somaliland has not received recognition is that it had no input from the other half of the Union and a significant number of groups in the North opposed it. There is a difference between Odeeyaal of a qabiil meeting under a tree and holding a referendum all over Somalia on the issue.
So I am for splitting up Somalia if it occurs in a fair and transparent manner. Its an insult to see SOmalia now divided into MiniStates that are at each other's throats and are being played against each other by the Ethiopians. We shouldn't go from Somaliweyn to Xabashiweyn.
