Can men find a wife whom they can control?

Some men seem to be of the opinion that marrying a younger girl will mean they can control her. Yes of course, if her brain is not developed enough for her to use her own judgement she would be more susceptible to influence. In this case you controlling her to suit your own selfish needs is child abuse because that is what she is, a child.

Ignoring the child abusers, how likely is it for a man to be able to "control" his wife? Especially today with most women being able to provide for themselves?

BV I think that this is a reaction to today's society, where today's women do not need many for anything other than having kids and some don't even use them when they can go to a sperm bank.

God put man in charge of women because he is able to bring income, leadership, and stability to the family, but now women have almost equal input into that area so the area's man is in dominance has been withered slowly and deliberately. Im not saying that women before did not work nor did not bring income but not in the way its done today, so what are we left with what power do we hold over women to submit to our leadership.... nothing... she can leave raise her children on welfare, work and get free daycare...

so what does this lead to- an insecurity that drives men into the extreme of finding the qualities they find attractive in women i.e. innocence, youth, and a dependency to them that they desire.. in short... younger and younger women.. so the truth is ..... INDEPENDENT WOMEN ARE NOT ATTRACTIVE AND ITS NOT CUZ WE ARE INSECURE BUT IT LEADS TO AN UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP

Why don't we just have a five heads of state instead of one president? Why didn't we have two prophets instead one at a time? Why didn't god give us two heads for one body instead of one head?

CCL there is a wisdom of having the man as the leader the one who will be responsible, who will take it upon himself to be the one who makes the tough decision, but that does not negate working together and having serious input from hes wife and the man who doesn't do waa doqon..

just as the imaam is the leader of the community, the man is the leader of his family, and the mother is the incharge of the children

You cant compare a relationship to a state. A relationship is a partnership of two equal individuals with lives of their own, how can there then be a leader? Unless you see one individual as inferior to the other which I suspect you do.
