I no longer see what u are arguing. This makes perfect sense to me, if a person turns their back on Islam, u kill them.

Now what the hell are u saying, and whats with the hiding behind nebi stuff u keep bringing up? These are not the rulings of Shirib, it is the ruling of the nebi...make ur statements clear

that ruling is out dated, there has to be a new rule for the modern world

War kan Gaal miyaa ku dooddaya Qawaaniinta Diintu waa Outdated? Mise waxa ka hadlinaayo Jahli!

The aim of Al-shabab founders are to divide somalia .... for me Al-shabaab are not muslims ... because in Islam you can someone with out reason that is what Al-shabab memebers do . "La taktiluu nafsan alatii xarama laahu ilaa bil xaqi" SADAQA LAAHUL CADIIM ...

Folks..Who is safe in that place? Muslims are their greatest target..

And the question is "Who is killing who" We just don't know...All I know is that they are killers..
I don't understand why would anyone mention certain religion group..All the killings we have been seeing were muslims, muslims, muslims..I wouldn't be surprised if they kill non-muslims too...Killers never stop of any group   They just want to kill and waste life.. :x

there is a big myth out there that somalia is a majority muslim country - its simply not true. most somalis - be they sufis, moderates, qabilists, socialists, democrats, nationalists and whatnot - worship others alongside allah swt. to be a muslim, its simply not good enough to just belief in allah swt and his messenger saw - one must first disbelief in the tawagheet, in all their forms, and then belief in allah swt to be a muslim.

The Mennonites are Amish, Anabaptist and pacifist. Other groups include "Dunkards" and "Black Bumper" Amish. They tend to be agriculturalists and avoid modern convieniences such as telephones and cars. They get special dispensation to send their children to public schools only through the eighth grade.

Contrary to Hyper in another thread, Abraham, Isaac and Ismael all worshipped the same God and are all part of the Abrahamic tradition. "The Book" is the Bible, and clearly the Prophet considered it an important document, whatever he thought of it's people. Upon payment of the Jizya tax, Christians, Jews and I believe Zoroastrians all enjoyed Dimmi status and the protection of the Caliph under all of the various empires. Even Saudi Arabia today is not pure Muslim and has significant minority Muslim populations, not all of whom fit into everyones's notion of what a Muslim is.

Especially given the state of religious education in Somalia, it is absurd to claim that everyone born there is Muslim. It's like Takfiiris claiming all the Muslims in the world are Takfiris, or a Qutbist claiming only he has the true religion of the Prophet. It just doesn't stack.

The other issue is that Shabaab's intention appears to be pure intimidation. There has certainly been little attempt to prove any facts in a legitimate court, and at least one of the cases that have been brought to light turned out to be cover for a Shabaaab gang rape of a 13 year old girl. The closest Biblical analogy I can think of to the Shabaab would be the mob in Sodom and Gomorrah.....

If people ask themselves about the logic the ruling, then they'd be in a better position to investigate whether its applicable and relevant today.
