I am sure the Arabs are rejoicing the return of the Berberaawi Blackhead sheep. They call all Somali blackhead sheep Berberaawi and its very well priced because of its tastier meat.

Berbera's population skyrocketed over the last 2 weeks. The local economy has shot up into the sky and small business are reopennning. The only problem is that there is shortage of everything in Berbera now. Shortage of Hotel rooms, eating places etc. Its a good to start a small business there.

Livestock traders from as far as Banadir and Baidhoba are coming over to Berbera. The boom days indeed.

But seriously , Somaliland needs its own black market port to smuggle livestock without the high tariffs. Saylac is the best option with a century old port at strategic location.

Too many traders are going to small makeshift ports in Puntland.

As long as Somaliland is trying to secede, Somaliweyn should boycott and put an economic embargo on Berbera. The ports in the north might be where the animals are shipped but the animals come from all of Somali people as far as Garissa and as deep as Nageyle in Ethiopia. Let Boosaaso rise instead as the representation of Somalia.

don't forget Maydh has a old port aswell it would be suitable to make seylac the far west of somaliland and Maydh the far east of somaliland the hotspots for black market ports.

Berbera Port is own by Ethiopia while Bosaso is pure Somali. Iidoors have never succeeded in anything, not even seceding from Somalia. Marka there isn't much to worry about, just enjoy as they continue to make fools out of each other iyo their dream for a qabil State.

Why do you think the iidoors inay naga qeyliyaan 24/7.

The last nail hit the coffin when our Ogaden cousins after a grand shir shifted their business en masse from Berbera to Bosaso, breaking with an age old tradition. Puntland has the ONLF leadership to thank for that.

Bosaso Port is now the port for the random Somali (including Somalilanders) and Berbera Port is the port for the Ethiopian- and Somaliland governments. Wixii leftoverka ka soo baxa from Djibouti, Berbera gets to import for Addis Ababa, because DJ Port can't process everything all the time.
