We Somalis always fit into two categories when it comes to politics
1 is those that advocate the interest of their qabiil
2 those that genuinely support whatever is good for Somali people weather in djoubuti, hargeisa, or xamar
now Egal was a political genius who wanted to subdue qabiil dominated identity he wanted to create a place that was never owned by one clan (he knew the law of hegemony would favor his clan) and his idea was a place was shared by many clans, and for a bit it worked, but recently the whole Somaliland project became owned and advocated by one qabiil, so people that supported somaliland in the beginning see it now as qabiil enclave and this even causes anxiety with in the isaaq clan itself, habar awal vs garxajis, habarjeclo vs habr yonis, harti vsisaaq, habar awal vs guudibirsi, uhhhm this reminds me of 80`s when clan competition gave risee to the civil war,the illusion of egal is fading, dahir riyales divide and rule is becoming to obvious, siilanyo supporters are understanding why their leader won`t be president
Now somaliwayne on the other hand is a pan Somali believe and it’s a ideology is which not owned by one qabiil and that idea will forever overshadow all those narrow minded ideas of qabiil interest
I truly believe isaaq people had a opportunity but they squandered it when they choose to underline their project with qabiil believes
The tit for tat with puntland shows why qabiil can never be a qaran
Somaliland is back inside the qabiil politics of Somalia and when that happens isaaq people always lose because blood is thicker then water harti goes harti, guudabirsi advocate dir believes in somaliwayne (the majority of dir live in ethiopia so somaliwayne is a must for them) and if you know the dir alliance with darood you will know that dir iyo darood are wiil iyo abti who have close relationship
Every group has fools and the fools of somaliland have destroyed the bureo and borama agreements the was the basis for peace in Somaliland and they have undermind unintentionally egals hopes of reclaiming somaliland under the pretence of qaran not qabiil, but look how many isaaqs see somaliland as qabiil and miss the point of egal which was qaranimo and not qurun qabiil
When the civil war is over and people come to the negotiation table, the only thing that counts is how big is the land you control, how many population is under your wing and what important cities do you control, so when the civil war over, isaaq can only say they have hargeisa, burco iyo berbera, in my opinion its back to how Somalia has always been for the past 500 years which is darood iyo hawiye again with their clients
I dare some one to prove me wrong that isaaq will not be be a client(4.5) of darood or hawiye, call it irir or whatever there is, isaaq missed the boat, dawlad cisse of djoubuti learned from isaaq mistake of 60`s and choose independent republic.
isaaq will forever be in the same predicament has raxanwayn who are under siege constantly and the only choice they have is being neutral but yet face a future of being clients of darood or hawiye, marehan or habar gedir, Harti or abgaal.

isaaq wanted to take the easy way out and run with somali territory but it will bite them hard if the project fails.
