the mujahideen will make mistakes and innocent people will unintentionally come to die as a result of these mistakes - jihad in purest and unadulterated form is the only legitimate warfare, after all. and they'll also be infighting and fitnah among themselves - part of human nature and can sometimes be a blessing in disguise (the purification of the ranks of the mujahideen). having said that, the biggest mistake of all would be to abandon jihad and surrender to kufr and humiliation because waging a perfect jihad isn't attainable.
