abaayo, I have no idea why I am obsessed with Plath especially...I am the apposite of what they were...or maybe its the fact that I had suicidal tendencies at a very young age![]()
But anywho, if I don't talk about them...the only writers in 19th century left to write about, that really mattered, are Poe, LongFellow, Hawthorn, and Emerson...and sadly their works are not as entertaining as Dickenson's and Plaths![]()
But what do u think about my 2nd idea? "Or maybe their feminst side? Parhaps compare the corrupt relationships the 2 had with thier parents and how it influenced their work?"
The feminist track would work very well with Plath, was she the first second-wave feminist poet? was she a feminist at all? Some of her poems on fertility, 'Barren Woman' etc, seem to place the value of women on her ability to procreate, bad feminist!
