Dawwa9,

Adeer, we did not inherit any valuable infrastructure from the defunct Somali government. If we had one port, we would be bigger than Bosaaso.

What about Hobyo?

When did Hobyo have a port? Also Bosaaso really doesn't have a sea deep port. It's nothing more than a pier

Jesteye,

Ugaas, no its an isbaaro for the sea isbaaro artists
Ugaas,

I disagree with you.

Anti-piracy is a lucrative game economically.

EU, USA, Asian block, Arab world and others want to see the end of piracy. And strong GalMudug led by competent PERSON is the solution.

Dhaga,

We never had a formal port at Hobyo but an old ancient one which can't accomodate anything beyond dhows.

We were supposed to have had one built but the regime chose to use the World Bank funds to build one in Bosaaso instead.

A port in Hobyo would be more successful due to to its close proximity to the livestock ranges of South Somalia, close proximity to Ogadenia & the major populated settlements in Hiiraan, Shabelle, Galgaduud, Mudug regions.

Quality motor way connects it to Djibouti-Hargeisa-Burco-Garowe-Gaalkacyo-Mogadishu-Kismaayo

Hobyo only has sand tracks leading to the place

Well done President Alin!

GalMudug needed station in the central regions. I hope GMS starts taxing the vehicles heading to Galkacyo and Basaaso Port.

Twisted_Logic,

Salaan sare.

Galia,

Good job.
Welcome Back, brah

Galmududg isn't a landlock. That is what I meant. The port can be built.

Dhaga,

Berbera, Kismayo, Bosaso and Mogadishu took years to plan and build. Its costs $$$ and expertise only a national government can take on.

I know the logistics of it can be difficult to cope with but as long as the water I there, it could be done.

Dhaga,

I am promoting the notion of a Republic of Galmudug as way to promote peace in the Horn. The Republic would be a boundary between the North and South and prevent conflict from spreading in either direction.
