not really abdi, with the contruction of the simple piers, preferably prefabricated and the assembled on location you can do it quickly and cheaply.
With the dredging and use of normal construction cranes to unload and load cargo you can get a port with probably 30% to %50 of Bossaso that can take dhows and small to medium sized ships for under $10 million.

im sure habar gidir can come up with $10 million, easy.
they have spent more than that on ammunition alone, in the past.

Uniforms and AK-47’s are cheap (less than 1000$ per soldier)

So you guys have no excuse for their sad demonstration compared to Djibouti
Do you not see the Helicopters in the background?

They were not holding AK-47, they were holding other automatics.

Djibouti has more men and paved roads to make demonstrations look better.

Again, how can you compare Galmudug to Djibouti

Okay.

Well done President Alin!

GalMudug needed station in the central regions. I hope GMS starts taxing the vehicles heading to Galkacyo and Basaaso Port.

Dhaga,

I am promoting the notion of a Republic of Galmudug as way to promote peace in the Horn. The Republic would be a boundary between the North and South and prevent conflict from spreading in either direction.
Preaching R.I.P Somalia?!

Somalia should probably go the way of the UAE, with Mogadishu filling the role of Dubai.

Every clan can have it's own kingdom or republic within the federation, and manage their own affairs, negotiate their own trade deals, etc.
For national matters the heads of state can all just get together and come to an agreement.

Thats the obvious answer, but people continue to believe in the concept of a TFG.
a TFG cannot work, you cannot have members of parlaiment that have not been elected and have no constituents.

Somalia can only be built from the bottom up.

every town and its surrounding villages should form a canton, every city and its environs also a canton.
instead of having 15 provinces in somalia we need to have at least 200 self governing cantons.

ofocurse these will be qabiil based, allowing every qabiil its independance..

once you have these forming a national government is a piece of cake.

..
all you need is for people to understand that a TFG appointed outside of somalia and under the influence of our nieghbours can never work.

No kidding. There needs to be a pill to take for this concept to sink in with Somalis.

Wallahi, Common sense is not winning in this thread

So what if GalMudug is 50% bigger and has more proven natural resources. Without a central government and sufficient infrastructure those resources cannot be capitalize on.
