"The SNM accepted Ethiopian assistance, thus violating an imperative of Somali nationalism (Markakis 1994:233). However, in 1988, the Ethiopian government, desperate to move troops to stabilise its northern front where it confronted Eritrean rebels, made peace with Siyad Barre and agreed to expel the SNM fighters from their sanctuaries in Ethiopia (Clapham 1995:79-80).

i am sorry but i am confused.

what does the above qoute have to do with the SNM attacking dilla in 91?
the SNM was made up of clan millitias that were each givin thier traditional area of operations.
for example you would not get HJ millitia in Awdal.

that wat im trying to wonder..this guy is obsessed with the notion that ethiopia helped SNM but that was back in 1988 and borame and awdal was capture by SNM in 1991..that is 3 years of fighting with SNA that gadabuursi were betting their lives on and after finishing them off, we capture your langaab clans territory...

1988-1991

YOUR sources are showing YOUR lies
