Is Internet the NEW anti-civilisation age?

Postby Basra- » Mon May 10, 2010 12:14 pm

Sometimes i like reading what people have to comment on yahoo headline news article. The recent one is Obama nomination of Kagan as a possible supreme judge contender, the amount of hate and venomous opinions going on is astounding! :o I cant believe my eyes. These same people, these same cadaans are the same people who politely smile to u in real life. Isnt human nature fascinating?
They are calling this nominee from every bad name, butch lesbian, man she, obama communist, so far i havent seen the n word lol i guess they are afraid. I mean, serious? Here is what i posted to annoy them,

"Why is everyone divided in ideologies? You are either angry dumb republicans or Pseudo smart Liberals. Where are the in between intellectuals like myself!!! :)

The amount of hate i receive from this is hilarious!

i am sorry, i failed to point out my 'point'. What i mean is, has internet--with its convenient anonymity and its faceless cushy mask--can it make people abandon the most treasured fact of civilisation? The act to be politically correct and civil?

Basra- The issue of convenience and anonymity are enough to make people express their views and reinforce their beliefs on key issues politically. Forget being politically correct.

How can i forget political correctness, that is the central point of my arguement. One can express their political view without resulting into insults and attack. I mean, my point was--in real life---people do not express freely as they do over the internet. The internet basically unleashes the nastiest part in someone. They speak the common real life unspoken thought. That was my point.

PS: For example Nabeela and Qora---in real life they are probably Mashalaah God fearing midgets who happen to be obese, and very polite to people, always beginning their convesation with Assalam alleikum--but here in somalinet---they are chubby pc gang stas, they grab their rotund hips and begin to call names like qanissaad or foosta to people whom they dont share same opinion views-- i dont get it.

8-) PS # 2 me feri feri maskinaad.

I'm sure people balance each other out when it comes to expressing their views. Whatever happens on the net, stays there. Unless one is a radical or aracist peasant.
