1. they are willing to spill their own blood and blood of neighbours to reestablish colonial borders.
2. the name Somaliland itself pertained to the colonist and does not represent autonomy.
3. "Land" who can be Somali and want an English word in their supposed country's name ? again this is unacceptable to my common sense as it is undignifying.
then there is also reason for devision, this can be discussed over and again but we all agree on 1 fact. since 1988 the relationship between Somaliland(formely known as SNM) and ETHIOPIA has been pivotal to the destruction of statehood in Somalia and is based on mutual hostility towards a Somaliweyn.
the arguement of atrocities commited by a previous government of Somalia of which current leaders of SL were part of has unfortunately been used to smoke screen all this, and also as a political tool to gain support. but i will not counter argue this as personally i feel it is inappropriate as it will focus on politics and disregard the loss of Somali life.
other than that, i totally support the people of the region, the SL are just there but in actuality it is the people who made peace possible.
