Somali Fashion

Postby IRONm@N » Fri Aug 06, 2010 12:01 am

I come to understand Somali fashion, specially the men, I was going through the market and I notice that every Somali man is wearing a long sleeved shirt with stripes or patterns, and a big hand taylored pants, more like dark or gray color and they don't tuck in their shirts, even though this long sleeved shirts are made to be tucked in. Almost 80% of men are wearing this, the other 20% are wearing a combinations of Khamis, Macawis, koofiya or jeans.

Somalis hardly wear one color solid short sleeved shirts, less 1% wear solid color T-shirts.

50 years from now, someone is going to pretend like this fashion we have now everywhere in the Somali community is some new, edgy fashion.

they are proberly going to dub it something 'retro' and sell the pants for couple of thousand each. (with some some sign next to it that goes: comes with dacas)
