I agree with you for the most part.

But, do you honestly believe that AU, united nation, and most Somalis will allow al-shabab to rule Somalia? isn't the whole point why the united nation and America are supporting the weak, incapable, corrupted tfg stooges so that they can uproot or at least weaken al-shabab's influence in Somalia? and if al-shabab were to rule Somalia we can throw democracy out of the window because it will never happen. They will threaten the peace, and security of stable regions like Somaliland and Puntland for sure.

The only way democracy can possible is if al-shabab and their un-Islamic, barbaric ideologies are out of the way.
We are practically on the same page, wallahi the issue now is not even about allowing Al Shabab to rule, its trying to AVERT them from taking control which is very likely... the issue with Somalia in my view is, Mr Sharif wasnt really given a chance to properly sort things out in Somalia due to Al Shabab, this is in no way absolving him from his corrupt and appaling record he has in office so far. But to be fair he did inherit a pretty bad situation from Abdullahi Yusuf. He is now in the same situation as Abdullahi Yusuf was, the only difference is Abdullahi Yusuf was smart enough to realise there is no point and just left.
Just keep making ducaa because the situation right now is very hard on our brothers and sisters in Mogadishu.

Shirib

democratic formula?

Although my knowledge about this 4.5 formula is limited, if you are referring to the 4.5 of TFG charter than I think it is corrupt and ineffective. This formula was created to balance so that the four or five main tribes in Somalia could share power and equal representation in the government however, as we have repeatedly witnessed it is extremely unfair to the minorities and smaller clans and it should be reformed or completely eliminated.

In Democratic Somalia, leaders should be elected based on their credentials, ideology, capabilities and vision not because of the qabil they hail from (although it is unlikely to happen because qabil is deeply rooted in our society). The main reason for Somalia demise, and instability is because of qabil, and as long as qabil and politics are intertwined than there is obsoletely no hope for our nation.

It wouldn't surprise me if all the qaldaans are clicking the 'Yes' option just to bolster their argument.

Once you get in to issues like this, you open a can of worms. The results don't mean anything.

Somali-land included? Because last time I checked it was still part of Somalia.

You Somali-landers never fail to amaze me. You run your mouth as if you can defend yourself from USC, TFG, or al-shabab. the fact of the truth is, Somali-land military capabilities has never been tested. All Idoors waa fadhi ku dirir iyo cyper warriors lakiin waax kale aad isku weysan ma jidho, dhusadinana meel ayaa la idin ka mari la'yahay. Rest assured, Somali-land is in a good position because Puntland is your big body guard. You know that as long as Puntland is able to defend itself you have nothing to worry about. You people were never in the league when it comes to Somali politics, why don't you worry about that never coming recognition you have been drooling about.

As, for me I have NEVER supported al-shabab or IUC thanks goodness. They are kuffars and people who are fighting against them are the true mujahiddin.
Puntland bodyguard? You must know something we dont, because to us Bintland has been n annoying parasite. I suggest you protect yourself from Shekh Atom bomber.

Sharif is a hypocrite. When he was in UIC he repeatedly said he will never negotiate with TFG as long as their ally themselves with Ethiopia. He was very critical of Abdullahi Yusuf and TFG for bring Ethiopian invaders in Somalia. But he is in the same position right now, he is begging AU to deploy more foreign troops in Somalia. What is the difference between Abdullahi Yusuf government and Sharif's government?

A lot of people supported the new Somali president at first because they believed he could unite and get the opposing parties to agree on a common ground since he from the tribe that majority inhabits southern Somalia, they also believe that A/Y was an obstacle in Somalia's peace and development, if that was the case why is TFG still as useless and weak as before?

You hit the nail on the head actually! Its quite funny how Sharif used to condemn Abdulahi Yusuf for bringing in the Abyssinians. Did you knwo he even made a secret deal in Asmara to become President? Even all the other Shaykhs were shocked how much he wanted to be in the Presidential seat. All his morals left in one day along with his beard
