Whether it is shia or suufi why do they deny this. They might say they don't worship them but their acts are totally different. People would go to graves of awliya and ask for things, they would ask for their wife to bear a child, for their sick kin to heal, etc. This is not false, this actually was happening. That is a form of worship, and it is shirk, the worst of sins. And it must be stopped by reason or by force, for the sake of the ummah
