An Indianapolis woman who's been charged in the deaths of her two young children allegedly locked her five kids in a closet for 10 hours before the two perished.

That's according to a police report released Tuesday that accuses Edyan Farah, 28, of dragging a bed up against the closet to block it shut, then leaving to visit a neighbor. Investigators are awaiting results of a toxicology report, but believe the two children -- a 5-year-old girl and her 3-year-old brother -- died Sunday of asphyxiation. Details were reported by several news agencies.

The children were trapped in a closet about 6 feet by 18 inches for more than 10 hours, and one of the surviving siblings told police they'd been crammed in there before, WRTV channel 6 TV station reported.

Even though I'm all for women rights and bla bla, I don't put all the blame on the husband. He wasn't the one who locked the children in a room. I heard she locked herself in a room for 2 or 3 days while she was pregnant. If she wants to kill herself and the fetus that's up to her but why hurt innocent babies? They don't know what's going on, they didn't ask to be on this earth let alone be the target of such a cruel act.

How can they? Everyone thought she was a normal married woman with kids, the Somali community didn't question her sanity not one bit. Besides, the closest Somali community would be in Columbus OH(2 hrs away). The woman lives in Indianapolis.

The paper said that she visited a friend for 10 hours and i don't think a Somali mother is befriended with Ajnabi, so how come her friends ( wether they're somali or not) wasn't aware of that. Teeda kale how come the school didn't see that the kids were malnourished

Folks, take it easy on the poor woman. The woman is mentally ill and it was unfortunate for her to be married to an abuser who was responsible in the situation that she found herself. That is what Somalis in Columbus, Ohio are saying.

Yeah Somali women are just so naive....more like wolves in sheeps clothing I am sure they can handle their own, I always find it funny when Somalis guys feel compelled to care about Somali females as if they are some sort of sheep waiting to be slaughtered, if she ain't your sister/relative you shouldn't care.
