regardless, i still respect and got love for somaliland. my support for their statehood hasn't changed a bit, i just hate to see them ignore issues like this.
Sxb, I understand, but once you mention 'somalinimo' or anything that reminds them of the former somalia, it triggers a severe defense mechanism which clouds their mind and obstructs any progressive debate, this renders any constructive criticism useless.

Screw pointing out problems is easy but providing a solution is more difficult. What solution do you think Somaliland should apply to fix the problem?
Should Somaliland follow Punaniland and take TFG money whilst deporting the refugees or dumping them in the indian ocean? Or, should we refuse them entry on our borders. Finally would the Screw be happy with providing the refugees with a scandanavian welfare system that is not provided to the locals.

it's one thing to be a refugee in another country that doesn't speak your language or understand your religion and culture but here? really? the likelihood is that those people in the tents are refugees from Mogadishu and other parts of Somalia who ran away from the fighting and if this is how Somaliland is treating Somali people i'm taking back everything good that i have ever said about Somaliland.
The Question should be, how did you come to the Conclusion that People Living in those Shack's are from the South? There are Thousand's of So Called Somalilander's living in such condition's, Almost half of the people who claim to be from Somaliland on here have never set foot there for Year's, so dont let them fool you.

Mzbeautiful: I see you have been well indoctrinated by your Idoor compatriots, you also have fallen for the false pretense that Gedo is a horrible and hungry place, quite the contrary darling, gedo is prospering and has less impoverished people per capita than the whole of Somaliland, statistics don't lie.

As observed from an independent UN study, Gedo's harvest has gone pretty well this year(indicated by the light yellow colours) Gedo is doing pretty well compared to the North, (Red indicates severe poverty). So take your fabricated bullshit elsewhere.

Wat sxb, times are hard everywhere. The only thing SL can do is treat these people with respect and let them live in peace. That it has achieved. For anything more it does not have the ability or the tools.
Be fair and balanced sxb.The people of SL have a get up and do it attitude, the government provides them with nothing but a peace, they do the rest.
Its pure capitalism. :D

You speak as if Somaliland is a developed nation, no one is treating anyone bad. You should be blaming those incompetent leaders in Xamar who have held back Somali people for the last 20 years. For the record there are people from Somaliland who live in those shanty houses if the Somaliland government can't help those people how on earth do you expect them to help other Somalis.

Instead of figuring out how to solve the problems in Somalia you have taken the easy route by blaming Somaliland. Somalia is a failed state, the leaders are corrupt. If Somalia's leaders gave Somaliland independence the IMF and the World Bank would have helped Somaliland develop, then you could say Somaliland should have treated the refugees in a better way, but you have Somalia and it's leaders to blame for this, that's the truth whether you want to hear it or not!

The same UN that feeds Hargeisa, feeds these internally displaced people. What money or resources does Somaliland have to act they are giving charity?

Don't be ridiculous. Sometimes it better to remain quite than to make up fictitious statements for the sake of political point-scoring.
