Yibir

As for this topic, why not they do have degaans and they should be treated with the same respect as everybody else, for instance in hargeisa gabooye live in xaafadda daami.

Midgaan is a deragetory term and also a clannish slur. Any Somali should avoid using that and stay clear of ever practising it. The Somali clans whom Somali associate this heinous names are and I wish all Somalis do correct that mistake:

Madhibaan
Muusa Dheriyo
Reer Hawle

Their uniting name is Gabooye. 1st, show respect and avoid using those deragetory names. Secondly, provide justice to these fellow Somalis and stop discriminating them.

Qabri Bayax is isaaq district? I always thought it was Ogadeen territory (not that reer Ahmed Cabdale is any different)

I don’t think Madhibaan people like the name Midgaan. That is how it seem to me. Since they don’t like it I think we should stop calling them such names.

So this like Galiley, gabily. The name of the city and the name of the region (gobol) are the same. The city is Anbskuul city but the region around the city is Ahmed Cabdale. Whuch means magaalda laga xukumo gobalka iyagu ma dagaan laakiin hareeriheeday loda ku raacaan.
