The Reer Ahmed, Reer Garad, Ciil Dheere and Talxe sub-clans are majority pro-Al-shabaab but it is no big deal, they can be easily changed.

Well karbashing them light-handedly might work but there is no point killing. Instead the Marehan elders in Gedo can unite and get rid-off al-shabaab. The only reason that al-shabaab can easily capture Gedo is because the Marehan elders are not united and they despise eachother. So the next question is how can Marehan elders in Gedo and other regions unite? The Marehan from Gedo and Kismaayo are the worst, the Marehan from Galgaduud are more united. The Marehan elders have power but the problems is they can't use it unless they are united.
