What is your new year's resolution?

Postby OliveOil » Fri Dec 17, 2010 12:14 am

Its that time of the year again....the year is almost over...Alxamdulilah we made it through without any bodily injures (I hope so lol) it is the perfect time to start thinking about the future and to reflect on our lives...what are the changes you want to make, what are somethings you want to gain or learn, what is a habit you want to leave behind?? Whether we stick with those changes or not, we all start the year with the hope of making our lives better....Please do share :rose:

I'll start....I was thinking sleeping as early as 8pm and waking up as early as 7am....but then I told myself that I gotta be more realistic than that...it will NEVER happen till I get married :|

But inshAllah, with the help of Allah...I will increase my knowledge of Islam....I trully, honestly, wallahi want to N need to become a BETTER PRACTICING Muslimah....I have, Alxamdulilah, already started attending Jumca prayers (although, it is not recommended for women, it is good if one does it to increase her imaan, which is my aim InshAllah), I've started attending weekend Dugsi to learn the Qur'an last saturday, and I even wake up for the morning prayer...of course with the help of my little brother Alxamdulilah...hope I don't turn out to be an extremist tho'...and still be a bit liberal in dhaqan wise if that makes sense

oliveoil, i am happy and i pray to allah to increase your faith (iman) and ours, insha allah. my most important goal is always increasing my knowledge of Islam and becoming a good practising muslim insha allah. it is a continous process and i pray to allah to make us depart this live while our iman is strong. this is my main resolution for every year. of course there are other things i would like to accomplish, but this resolutions takes precedence.
