Al-shabaab are unislamic entity. No where in the textual proofs will you find proof that you should continue fighting wars, costing thousands of innocent muslims mind you, for the establishment of some utopian, ideal, Islamic state. Al-shabaabul khawaarij however believe that a state that isn't governed by Islamic perfectly or completely is a kaafir one.

This is the Fiqhi position. The stronger view is that the Amir can invite non muslims to help against fighting rebels. Even so, in a civil war like this one, normal regulations get lost in the mire. abdisamad3 if you as Muslim brother is convinced what is happening is Xamar is jihad, why don't you as a Muslim brother book your ticket to Somalia, pick up a gun and fight ( instead of writing from your comfortable house in the west). Al shabaab executed 2 teenage girls without trial because they said they were spies. They massacred their fellow brothers in a mosque, they force our Somali women to marry foreigners and if they refuse they get killed .Every person, regardless his/her status, age, gender or position, who raises any concerns or dares to ask questions, let alone criticize them, is either tortured, beheaded or killed. Is this Islam , is this what Prophet Muhammed ( Peace upon him) preached and is this what a Muslim should be doing.
