HOOOOOOLDUP, don't get it twisted, nobody's saying it's ok to randomly attack your father. That's not cool by any means...our parents deserve respect and patience since they raised us from when we were lil children. All I'm saying is if I come home and I'm not in the greatest mood and my father gets aggressive, first I'll warn him out of respect. If he put his hands on me again, I'd tell him to get out. If he stays and I'm clearly not in the mood for his dagaal and I've already warned him, what else am I supposed to do? Even then, I wouldn't fight him the same way I'd fight a stranger/someone I have beef with. I'd keep in mind that it's still my father at the end of the day so I wouldn't go all out and send him to the hospital or nothing. I can honestly say it has never occurred to me to even hold my dad/mom's hand when they were hitting me let alone fighting back

Not really. You could just walk away. Two male egos wanting to get the upper hand, one has to stand down and since you're the son and he's the father I would have assummed it would always be you.
