Are you serious? I thought you were joking
You make it seem like I said I'd just walk up to him cuz I'm in a bad mood and start shit with him . I'd obviously tell him I'm not in the mood and if he still hit me...then, well, it's not my fault.
 :o

I can honestly say it has never occurred to me to even hold my dad/mom's hand when they were hitting me let alone fighting back :o It never entered my mind, it's a no go zone, like the thought alone would land me in hell.

Mind you my parents were never that violent and last time I got hit was 13 and I have never been hit with anything that would cause grievous bodily harm but still. I find it shocking that you are serious about this...are you serious? Just to confirm coz seriously I can't get my head round the idea of doing such a thing :|
HOOOOOOLDUP, don't get it twisted, nobody's saying it's ok to randomly attack your father. That's not cool by any means...our parents deserve respect and patience since they raised us from when we were lil children. All I'm saying is if I come home and I'm not in the greatest mood and my father gets aggressive, first I'll warn him out of respect. If he put his hands on me again, I'd tell him to get out. If he stays and I'm clearly not in the mood for his dagaal and I've already warned him, what else am I supposed to do? Even then, I wouldn't fight him the same way I'd fight a stranger/someone I have beef with. I'd keep in mind that it's still my father at the end of the day so I wouldn't go all out and send him to the hospital or nothing. Make sense now?

Do you know the prophet SAWS said that if there was anything Allah SWT would come close to permitting people to worship besides him, it would be your parents.

Not really. You could just walk away. Two male egos wanting to get the upper hand, one has to stand down and since you're the son and he's the father I would have assummed it would always be you. No matter how unreasonable or unfair, I would assume that you would walk away, leave the room, the house, whatever but physically restrain him, not even hitting him, but showing him that you are stronger and you could whoop his ass....that is...not a feeling a father should get from a son I don't think, but I am not a son nor a father

Why would I be the one to stand down if he hit me first?

Because he's your father?

Exactly bro, I mean I couldve damaged him seriously when he was most vulnerable but since his aabo, a choke hold and body slam should suffice 8-)
