My balance of CHI.....

Postby AMAT-ALLAH » Tue Aug 23, 2005 5:27 pm

My balance of chi

Asian mysticism has it that a human has the ability to test their ‘energy-strength’ from as small as blowing into the air, to hammering a nail into a plank of wood with your bear hands! However one must find equilibrium between these 2 extremes inorder to maintain a healthy and smoothly energized lifestyle. And I was thinking what in my daily life do I practice such method, until I read somewhere that one forumer MAD MAC (sorry to use u as an example) mentioned he plays boxing and dancing. Now here is a classic example of how one can find a balance between two entirely different sports, and in harness he has found a perfect balance(so I hope). For me my balance is this, i enjoy kickboxing which is after Maghrib prayers and immediately after my intense session Isha has dawned and I almost feel as though ive boxed the shidh out of someone and then instantaneously hoped on a harp and struck a sweet melody.

So my question to you guys, can you think of somewhere in your life were you have found that critical balance of chi, were your spirit is at home with? Smile

Cubeed- what's the problem with this?

AMAT- I wanna start Yoga, and putting my room around Feng Shui style to allow this 'CHI' to flow... I haven't found Chi yet, nor a sense of any kind of balance.. i used to adore hitting the gym, I found peace there more than anywhere..

Sis/bro excellent. I do yoga im finally an intermediate in pilates--You should see how long it took me to move up the ladder Embarassed Laughing ...Finding the right technique in finding spirtual solace, stricktly speaking in islamical terms(obviously) is were your comfortable walaal- with yourself -environment most importantly. Me im really a proactive type of person and sports especially yoga which fortunatly has alot of spirtual elements to it, is great for a muslim. As long as you keep your 'niyah' strickly on one thing...Allah(swt) Smile ...Wow your actually opting to rearrange your lifestyle to find feng shui, thats soo cool, i wish i had enuff personal space to do that. I have a friend that finds it really works, soo go right ahead. Hey are u a fan of 'cuudh'? You know insents? They are FAB, in regards to help setting the room alight! I have a whole load of them, and candles and play some lovely soothing songs and lay on your yoga mat,(if u have one) and just lay there and contemplate and most importantly make dhikr...its sooo refreshing and spritiually relaxing Smile
Generally if your into gym and work out, thats the more active side to you, so balance it with the above that i mentioned, like getting scents and candles and music to set that right balance! Smile

AMAT< Do you sleep facing North ?? Laughing Laughing Seriously, boxing and dancing are the same in that they both require extensive footwork and coordination. Flat feet will get you stretched (K.O'd) in a ring, or crush your dancing partners feet in a second! Laughing Laughing Martial Arts are the best for that combination of physical and mental energy exercises. Your "Chi" as it were.

Amat Allah , I know I should've put you up in my most intelligent list the other day. You're constantly thinking , never intellectually stagnating , wich in my opinion is the distinguishing characteristics of a bright mind. Xagaa kaga hay , don't let nobody stop you up

When your Chi is strong, balanced, flowing and focused you exude energy and good health. Good health and strong, balanced Chi are almost one and the same. In Chinese Medicine one of the causes of ill health is the stagnation or blockage of Chi.
