Civilisation - Is the west history? It's on Channel 4 and talks about how the west got ahead of the rest of the world (empires like China and Ottoman Turkey) and if it can stay that way. Although the guy is biased with all the usual democracy/secularism bullshit, it's pretty interesting stuff.
