Postby OliveOil » Mon Jul 11, 2011 1:37 pm

For those of you who had the oppertunity to get them (either one), which one would you reccomend and which ones costs more/less? How fast do they work?

Fah, I'm sure you can answer these questions dear... :rose: :)

My teeth aren't completely straight, they are 90% straight and i'm going to get invisaligns. Purely because they are clear and can take them off when i'm eating because i'm really into appearances and looking good. Also my friend had them and she raves about them. They are a little pricey compared to braces but well worth it.

My other friend had veneers because she's into that "wag", "essex girl" kind of look. Worst decision ever they make her look so fake and she regrets it totally. Nothing beats naturals :p

PO I was actually shifting more to the invisaligns side...only reason is because I think its weird having braces at this age. It looks better when u r in your teens. But I still think braces look so cute...and make u look younger

OHHLALA, yeah veneers are not natural looking...I don't want that. However, I wouldn't mind invisaligns....but I'm very skeptical of the whole procedure...how long will it take till my teeth get straight? Years? Longer than braces?

I never had braces or invisalign because I was blessed with straight teeth :)

But I would say go with the invisalign because braces can be painful, My colleague had braces for 2 years and her mouth still hurts and she said everything tastes like metal now.

6 months if you're really good and disciplined that is if you wear it properly for the proper amount of time. Otherwise its a year.

Ohh that is not so bad actually!!! I want to take them off by the time I'm ready to get married. See that is one major reason why I didn't want to get braces actually...I want to look my best for my wedding (not anytime soon lol)...you feel me? :D

Yeah...eeww a friend of mine told me the same thing...I actually have all the money for it and was ready to get braces about two months ago...but started to become skeptical about the whole thing...and also noticed the invisaligns. I hope they do not cost that much though!

Invisalign cost about $5000 which is the same amount to braces, Some insurances cover half of the cost of Invisalign while others might now, talk to your dentist and work out a flexible payment. Good luck.

Thank you both! :rose:

Insurances do not cover them if you are over the age of 18...not even a co-pay :(
