This hit and run shit has made the Somali civil war 10 times worse. If these masked chimps were fighting America its one thing but they're fighting fellow Somalis and some poor African soldiers, what a bitch move on their part.

Inside The Insurgency: The Shabab Withdraw From All Of Hamar

Postby praisedone » Fri Aug 05, 2011 11:11 pm

The Shabab have finally withdrawn from the whole of the capital after keeping their lines for the past two years, losing thousands of fighters and killing about the same number from the TFG - and to a lesser extent from AMISOM.
The TFG will try to claim a major victory, but as I have said before in my blog posts, this has always been in the workings, with the Shabab security calling for the withdrawal so as to be able to intensify their operations, and to have their enemy thin themselves and give them more exposure.
I'm afraid u are celebrating prematurely. Al Shabaab hasn't been defeated, they have just changed strategy. They can't take AMISOM head on in the front lines so they are going back to 2007 strategies that they used against Ethiopia.

AMISOM has armor and strategy, Ethiopia was just a bunch of poor lightly armed conscripts, and the majority on the frontlines were PL troops and Abgaal TFG militia that were getting killed. Shabaab's BS will not work and it will not be tolerated.

Not only that, think where will the thousands of shabaab troops that vacate muqdisho go?

Gedo,dhobleey and galgaduud.

How did the saying go?.."Those Who Forget History Are Doomed to Repeat It".

If this is true than Al Shabab has basically blundered themselves, outside of the Cities there is no Place to hide from heavy Artillery. If the TFG has the Capital in full control, than Aid specifically Miltary will flow in and the major Aid Agencies will come. The Only place they can hide would be in Kismaayo.

I wonder what the TFG and AMISOM's next move is. Will they try to pacify Xamar and stay there or will they venture out of Xamar into Ceelasha and try to capture the rest of the country

For certain they will try and milk this for all its worth, but when the dust settles reality will rear its ugly head.
I dont see them spending a peaceful night in mug, forget about the rest of the country.
