Heck am not even from Somalia and i fully supported the fight against Ethiopia. If there is one thing that unites Somali's is the hate for Habesha.
I strongly disagree. Ethiopians were saints compared to some Somali factions. During the Ethiopian intervention, I and many here supported their presence against two-faced snakes like Sheikh Shariif and his disobedient child-soldiers-turned-enemies.

Offcourse some supported Ethiopia but majority of Somali's even in the west were against the Invasion. I rather be killed and oppressed by a Somali than a filthy Habesha.

Al-Shabaab's biggest problem is a leadership one. It is very obvious that they have broken up into three factions. Unless the Godane faction is dealt with, the decline of Al-Shabaab will continue. As long as they struggle to deal with that Takfiir leadership, they will continue breaking-up into groups.

King of Awdal,

Nation building is not built upon being united AGAINST something but being united FOR something. That is the element Somalis are missing and will hold them back.

Shift,

Somalis can't be united FOR anything, and not all Somalis will be tricked by the good old united AGAINST something temporary relief. Some Somalis are absolutely averse to progress. The idea of nation-building or state-building or anything-building on any level makes them sick. This is where Federalism comes into use.

Why are some members all of a sudden feeling emotional about Al-Shabaab's withdrawal from Mogadishu? :? I didn't know we had a lot of Pro-Al-Shabaab Closet fans.

The Army of Shaitan (Al-Shabaab) will insha'allah lose it's focus, have a civil war within themselves, and not only will they withdraw from Mogadishu, but they will be humiliated and defeated all over Southern Somalia once and for all.

In sha'allah, the Somali Government's New Year Resolution in 2012 won't be to fight Al-Shabaab, cause it will be eradicated, but it will be to rebuild Somalia's Capital and spread the NEW Somali Constitution from the tip of Northern Somalia to the tip of Southern Somalia. :som:

I actually agree. But Federalism isn't as easy in the south as it is in the north/central

All along we knew (anti-sShabab crew) that Al Shabaab will be defeated sooner than later.
Last Ramadan Abu Mansur lost a lot of young farmers from Bay and Bakool in Mogadisho. This Ramadan Abu Mansur is MIA, and Al Shabaab are made to eat their own feces like dogs in Mogadisho.

Where is Ximan Jaalle ?

Guul TFG and AMISOM.

I'm afraid u are celebrating prematurely. Al Shabaab hasn't been defeated, they have just changed strategy. They can't take AMISOM head on in the front lines so they are going back to 2007 strategies that they used against Ethiopia.
i have a feeling they want to repeat 2007 strategies but this time the question is can they sell it to population coz we remember back in 2007 shacab was helping alshabab covering for their soldiers

ciyaal,

Al Shabaab is broken. Their leadership is extremely fractured. Its not gonna be like 2007 unless the TFG allows it to be.

The game is in TFG's hands now, its their to win it. Lets see what they do
