Since alot of people here are displaying emotions i will get down to facts.

North Somalia and South Somalia consists of Somalis.

The official Somali flag
5 pointy sides wich represtents the five great Somali regions, consisting of all clans.

Somaliland flag:

Bears the colours of Pan arabism (why i dont know)
Bears a black star (wich has no meaning at all)
And has the Ashahada on it.( Despite them separating from their fellow muslims)

Women that go around in Somaliland flag in SL clubs are creating big danbi when music is playing and they are waving the shahada around.

Saudi arabia doesnt do this, the same should be espected from a nation that has the shahada on its flag. Yet they choose democracy and allied themslevs with a christian nation against their fellow muslims in the South.

Basicly the flag bearers are hypocrites and sinners, and the flag is illogical in some aspects in relation to the people it represents.

Somalis should set up an umbrella called the somali nations union a union with its own chairman and own laws that helps develop somali countries snu like egad the eu. Greenday and CiyaalW you aint getting it. This thread is not about Somaliland doing well or not doing well, it is about the Somaliland flag and appreciating its beauty. Absolutely zero politics though trolls, both pro and anti may come and go.

The PLand flag is not bad and it is smart to have the at the top to signify that it is still attached to the rest of the country. Of all the flags inside Somalia (minus SLand) that I have seen, it is the best looking. Obviously the nation flag isnt in this competition.

my idea is United states of great somaaliya.. every state will have their own government..they will share the army and the same currency or may be same opinions on the foreign affairs ...no calaacal and internal affairs leesku mashquulo and we will put our energy into business competition among cities

Loool so because we do have the shahaada on our flag we shoul unite with other countries i dont see saudi arabia uniting with yemen or iraq with syria we are a democracy but not a democracy like the west we elect our leaders our mps mayors. Etc and we use tradional somaliland form unique in africa and there is free press but somaliland is an muslim nation gays are not tolerated you cannot build churches synagoges in somaliland or hindu temples you cannot insult the prophet the shaba or islam woman must cover them selves i dont know about the pan arabism ur talking about but somaliland is a muslim country part of the arab world
