Heavily-armed Ethiopian troops enter Gedo

Postby Monk-of-Mogadishu » Wed Aug 31, 2011 11:52 pm

And the games have re-opened, this time the Ethiopians can hopefully finish the job and clean up the mess.
Muqdisho (RBC Radio) Ciidamo Itoobiyaan ah oo aad u badan ayaa waxaa lgau soo waramayaa in la soo dhoobay degmada Luuq ee gobalka Gado.

Ciidamadaan ayaa la sheegay in ay si aad ah u hubaysanyihiin isla markaana ay wataan gawaari waaweyn oo ah kuwa dagaalka.

Dad ku sugan gobalka Gado ayaa sheegaya in ciidamadaan ay yihiin kuwii ugu badnaa ee soo gala degmada Luuq ee gobalkaasi Gado.

Ilaa iyo iminka lama oga sababta ka danbaysa oo ciidamadaan Itoobiyaan ah ay u soo galeen qaybo ka mid ah gobalka Gado.

Hase ahaatee arintaan arintaan ayaa waxa ay ku soo adaysaa xili ciidamada dowada KMG Soomaaliya maalmihii ugu danbeeyay ay wadeen howlgalo balaaran oo ay ku doonayeen in ay kula wareegaan deegaano badan oo ka tirsan gobalka Gado.

Waxaan la ogayn talaabada ugu horeysa oo ay qaadi doonaan ciidamada dowlada Itoobiyaha ee soogaaray degmada Luuq ee gobalka Gado.

Al Shabaab are trying to bring their forces from Galgaduud and Mogadishu to battle in Gedo so their base in the south isn't threatened. Right now the Dollow forces are on three sides of Baardheere which is the biggest Shabaab garrison in the country, even more than Kismaayo. I think these Ethiopian troops are supposed to be a deterrent to scare Al Shabaab.

Perhaps the Ethiopian troops should have a temporary base in that region to help the tfg forces and the local civilians. I support this move

Ethiopians should help anti-Shabaab elements to organize themselves sufficiently to permanently eliminate the threat of these terrorists, it is of the utmost importance that Jubbaland State becomes a reality. It has been long overdue. Capturing Kismayo should be a priority and a nationwide effort with military and financial support from Puntland and the TFG/Xamar.

Again, I don't see the main outlets reporting it.

If it is indeed true, then its probably because thousands are currently all about to attack Baardheere and they don't want Northern Gedo to be vulnerable, so these Ethiopians would hold Northern Gedo while Baardheere is attacked. Luuq/Northern Gedo borders Bay/Bakool and Bay/Bakool is Where they would be attacked from.

This actually bolsters Al shabab's ranks and rejuvinates their spirit.
