Why do we know so little about our first PM, Abdullahi Isse?

Postby Cinque Mtume » Mon Sep 19, 2011 12:09 pm

Abdullahi Isse along with Adan Cadde, Abdirisaq Haji Hussein, Abdirashid Ali Shermarke and Ibrahim Haji Egal are basically the fathers of the Modern Somali Nation.

We need to learn more about the legendary SYL. :som:

In the First decade the Somalis were the most nationalistic just after independence hardly no one cared for Qabilism Somalis had a president who all the people respected from Lawyo cade all the way to Raas kamboni Adan Cabdula cismaan AUN as president, and Abdirashid ali sharmarke as prime Minister. I dont think Abdirashid ali sharmarke can be associated with Mj yes that might be his lineage but he was a true Somali, May allah bless your soul

Decades of Corruption, Thugs & Back wardness...

Sure there was corruption but the civilian Government was also progressive in many fields, what came after the civilian government was also good for a decade or so and there was still Corruption in the Military regime , but we lost our democracy and were ruled by a General who was uneducated which resulted the Collapse of the entire Somali state. Not to forget Abdilahi Ciise Abdirashid ali sharmarke Adan Cade Muhammad haji Ibrahim Cigaal were all visionary leaders and played all a role in fighting for Somali independence.

I know a lot about him. He was basically the South's George Washington. He helped prepare the South for independence and was the Father of Somalia. His funeral was a national affair and attended by Somalis of all qabiils. He was a very humble man who for the greater good refused to plunge Somalia into conflict even when his enemies plotted against him.

AW,

I noticed he is much revered. I only recognized Mohamed Abshir and Yusuf Bardacad in the video, they gave good speeches about the late leader.

CinqueMtume,

Even his worst enemies, were amazed at his patience and tolerance. His funeral was well attended. Fortunately, he never got to see what the nation he fought so much for would end up being.

AUN.

Somalia would have been a pleasant, joyful country if the SYL's moderate leadership was not hijacked by a certain cat. Think about it.

Cinque,

The politicians of the SYL era were more moderate than the ones of this decade. Unfortunately, a lot of factors conspired to bring about Somalia's demise.
