What outstanding and historical Pictures, For me, this is the most poignant. I can probably write a 1000 word essay on what this evokes in me but to sum it up; equality.

The president and the nomad
the governor and the subject
the city man and the rural man
the most well off and the least off
the modern and the primordial
yet serene equality

siyyad barre was a ruthless dictator and was not the father of Somalia. in fact, i blame everything that has happened in Somalia on him because our problems started when he came to power in a bloodless coup when, at the time, Somalia became the first African country to have free elections and a subsequent peaceful hand over of power.

he destroyed Somalia and its people.
