The conflicts over kismaayo post civil war explained. The war begun, and it was initially between hawiye and darood. The president was ousted, and hawiye basically took over xamar and all the war equipments in xamar and around it. Hawiye begun chasing darood from xamar all the way to kismaayo and they captured kismaayo. Darood, mainly OGs, MJs, and MR were kicked out of kismaayo into jubooyinka hoose. They met in dhoobleey, and regrouped there for a period of 5 months. They wanted to invade kismaayo and take over it again. NOTE: The place that was met was in dhoobley which is an Absame land, and most of the men making up the newly formed darood fighters were Ogaden. They regrouped. Hawiye controlled kismaayo for five months. After five months, they launched an attack on kismaayo and took over kismaayo. Hawiye was kicked out. Now the question was who would get control of the city? Then Mjs and MR agreed to kick ogaden out before they laid a claim on the land considering they made up most of the men fighting. When the Ogadens whose land was used in the preparation(food, water, ammunition, and war supplies) were kicked the very land they died for, Omar jees said "I ain't taking this" So he went caydiid whom was his cousin and made a deal with him. Omar jees came back with 17 war vehicles and large number of men some of whom were caydiid's men. When he came back to ksimaayo, Mjs and MR were once again kicked out. Darood with the exclusion of SOME ogaden regrouped in baydhabo and went to afmadoow instead of kismaayo. 360 darood men went to afmdoow where they killed some men and raped one woman. a war broke out in afmadoow between Reer cabdille(a subclan of maxamaed subeer of ogaden) and the rest of darood. The city was deserted, and both sides suffered casualties. The darood soldiers finally said we dont wanna be here we are going to kismaayo, just give us some food and water. They were given food and water, and they attacked kismaayo. They took over kismaayo in 93 I believe. Mjs controlled it 'till 99. majeerteen waa loo qayilay and MR took over in 99 and had it for about 6 years, then marna waa lisku haystay wixii kadambana al shabab baa haysatay.

These unnecessary wars will always continue unless people of the deegaan assemble and create a state in Kismaayo on fair and balanced grounds.

But with the current Azania and Jubbaland clan differences, if they don't solve the issues then war will definitely erupt and voila deja vu again.

Bullshit. The war was Hutus/Digil Xuruufle Vs Marexaans with Marexaans at the forefront.


The brave and noble Sade were held back working with doqon daarood (OG) and Naago Daarood (MJ) as I think even Awtrable Had more to do with Daarood defense then both of them combined. Never will we get in a foxhole with such a inept lot.

Kismayo proved to be the easiest major city to conquer. Everything in Kismayo is temporary and people's lives have been in hiatus for a long time. Some ppl in Kismayo say Shababs are the best thing that happened to them. Zero clan rivalry/war.
