Kenya has yielded in the political front in order to legitimize its military incursion.

Ethiopia, Sheikh Sharif, and the Gedo forces have gotten what they wanted; Kenya help in the effort against Shabab but not tamper politically. Roving was right, Sheikh Sharif was really trying to protect the interests of the TFG Gedo forces whom he believes should be rewarded for the commendable organization and sacrifice against Shabaab. He believes this along with 2.) neighbors should not be allowed to have that degree of arrogantly exposed political desire to carve spheres of influence and also 3.) not reward Ghandi for going politically rouge.

The IGAD meeting which took place yesterday resulted in three things; name 1.) Kenya will not try to weasel Azania in and 2.) Kenya will go beyond Jubbaland also going into Lower Shabelle region as well targeting Merka and Baraawe ports in the general AU/International effort against Shabaab and 3.) Kenya will work jointly with TFG and TFG military apparatus in all the plannings and organization.

Oh I support Kenya. I support their military incursion and I still do. I would also desire to see Jubbaland part of Kenya but of course this is a general pipe dream. However, in the meantime since we are in Somalia's messy politics, Kenya will need to be neutral politically in the land.

Kenya is a foreign state so of course entitled to protecting its own interests, but I don't know anywhere Kenya planned the Somali civil war, prevented Somalis from reconciling, and propositioned Somalis to flee enmasse across its borders to the detriment of its own national security and accommodations?

Let's get something straight; refugee aid followed refugee circumstance. One is a cause and one is an effect. I mean how obtuse and extremely unreasonable, even xaasid (since you are not in the conflict), to say Somalis should be in a continuation of conflict because of issues surrounding what Kenya collects in Somali refugee name? If there were no refugees, what legitimacy would there be for Kenya to collect refugee aid? Keep in mind also that while Kenya does get some compensation, the bulk of the aid money for Somali refugees is turned over to the multitude of Western NGO's who form, organize, and administer those refugee camps.

NFD people have long accepted their membership in Kenya and few have a grand desire to join a "greater Somalia". They are very much satisfied as citizens of Kenya. To consider them "IDPs" and speak for them is a little arrogant and conceited of you. The Somali kid born in Garisa and Wajeer considers Kenya is "birth place" and as we have seen lately grow up working to become effective members and citizens of that state.

You need to learn that you are an individual and can speak for yourself, you can't monopolize another Somali's right of opinion simply because you happen to be born from the same "ethnicity". As someone who some people on this site consider a "thinker", I am really astounded at your regressive and backward thinking.
