The official opposition has been greatly perturbed with Turkey turning towards a foreign policy that considers Middle East affairs more closely than European. They are on record denouncing Davotuglu's strategies towards engaging their Arab neighbours and felt they should continue their Euro focused foreign policy pre AKP. Now I will contend that "securalists" aren't a homogeneous bloc, as you are presenting them, and some do oppose EU secession but that is NOT the position of the major "secularist" parties. BTW even though the AKP is still offically considering E.U. membership its hardly a key priority. The Eurozone might not even exist 5 years down the line but thats another story.
