Why is it the arabs will provide assistance to eritrea but when it comes to Somalia, they assist our enemies. Alshabaab, kenya, ethiopia? Everyone is scared of Somalia rising.
BTW, what is the attitude towards Somalia and somalis in eritrea? If a somali army wanted to take ethiopia from the West, would it be allowed to pass through eritrea?

I think The arabs helped Eritrea mainly Because the muslims who first Uprised against ethiopia in the 1960's were mostly muslims and sold Eritrea as a close Cultural and related People to the arabs, Plus adding things like Land of the sahaba, the place where The prophet pbuh and his daughter rwa and the sahaba Lived,Blessed or died can Have a few pull emotionally among the arabs. Even today most of the eritrean ambassadors in arab countries and the forign minister is Muslim to keep the support Going. The somali People had a very bad marketing System, Somali and arabs are different, Both are kind with big hearts however the arabs like to hear what they want to hear so you cheat them and make them hear what they want to hear, the somali are more straight forward with no shame attitute so we can see how the first problem occurs, somali telling the arabs WE ARE NOT ARABS AND NEVER WAS NO GIVE US HELP,lol this won't work with teh arabs they have this pride you see, lol Eritreans are more cunning and shifty Isaias afwerki who is Christian made them believe that Eritreans are some sort of a lost arab tribe at the end of the 1980's loool
Eritrea Attitude Towards somalia never changed, It was one of only 3 countries that acknowledged Eritrean struggle and supported the liberation since day one. (The other is sudan and egypt), Helped Eritrea with Militarily Hardware at some point and even gave alot of Eritreans Somali passports so they can travel and seek more funds/help. If Somalia would to attack Ethiopia and the heat is off Eritrea unlike today, Not only it will let somali pass through their land they might even Join. Among Normal Eritreans Somali are probarly one of the most favourite People because I think Eritreans understand Somali alot, and Somali have a unique way of doing things which Cracks Eritreans up, Till this day the top 3 Funny thing that happened In the city i am living by any african is by far by somali's Hahahahaa. The only problem i Find with somali is sometimes they have No shame, Meaning in normal life it is funny but sometimes when applied Their discrimination against other somali because of their qabil Their no shame straight forward attitute Hurt each other feelings alot, More than you expect... Eritreans would lie to concile or Fix problems.. maybe because eritreans can't afford it.
I think I get what you mean when you say somalis don't have shame, what you mean is they don't have tact or diplomacy. We definitely have shame. We're not very good when it comes to RealPolitik and being sly except maybe when it concerns our clans. Qabiil is a huge problem for the somalis and we have to overcome it. It's embarrassing when a xabashi can share country among different ethnic groups while we are still squabbling over qabiil.

No shame as in No Diplomacy Or Irrational attitute when Discussing something Sensitive, The problem was with Little Kids, In school i remember somali's from different qabil wouldn't even play on the same side because of what their parents Tells them at home, Imagine a 12 yrs old kid refusing to play with another somali on the team because he is from different qabil, we were just kids back then.
The habesh share a country with others because they find the only thing that is common with other ethnic groups and use that to try to live together, while the somali find the only thing that is different to divide among themselves. Land/Religion/Culture/ancestory/Language are the same with somali's whatever happens its easier to bring them back together, That is why People who wish somali ill wants to seperate somali so they can try to put more wedge between the people there. Eritrea mainly got their weapons From arab countries and Ethiopian army capturing the weapons, in the early days countries like iraq and egypt were the main suppliers, Then somalia and Sudan had a turn, after the ogaden war the other arab countries supported with money countries like saudia arabia/qatar while with the money weapons were purchased from many countries including China But all weapons were light or medium, large weapons like tanks and Rocket launchers were all capyured from the ethiopians, roughly 60% of the weapons by the end of the war were all ethiopians captured in battles.
I will Find out for you exactly what weapons were used during the whole war with Ethiopia, including the Eritrean modified Sniper ak47's.
