A Good thing about Somalis

Postby Monk-of-Mogadishu » Tue Dec 06, 2011 12:56 am

Sure, our nation is a nigger-populated diseased cesspool, but at the end of the day Somalis love their country. This does not equate to the post-colonial title of "nationalist" that most Somalis associate with love of one's country. Country (physical landmass) and nation (abstract term) are separate things. A Somali nation-state is not based on history or social relevance, its fiction, so lets get beyond that point. Somalis love their country. Even 13 year old kids raised in California will talk in length about cities they have little awareness of. And most Somalis, given the chance and conditions, would return home. Ask a Nigerian, a Cambodian, or an Indian if they would ever return home and the answer is a flat NO. Most don't even want to think about it, and the second-generation is almost always gone to the dogs. Most immigrants who live around Somalis, know this fact. Of course every once in a while we will have a Voltage pop-up, but for every Voltage there are 100 country-loving Emperiors.

So, congratulate yourselves. You understand what few others do. And for that, Somalis rank very high as a proud people. I may not want to share a country with all Somalis (most in fact), but we all individually love our (individual) countries within the Somali native range.

Enjoy this beautiful photos of our proud heritage:
