I think there is hadith talking about not making yourself look like a man, although arab men at the time of the prophet wore robes and stuff which is confusing

I guess you can argue, since it doesnt specifically say surwaal you can wear it.

this is what destroyed judaism and christianity. everyone took knowledge from the wrong people and rulings like this came up.

we follow the quran and sunnah walaal, and women wearing pants is not allowed in our religion. anything that reveals the shape of a womans body is prohibited, and please dont tell us there are baggy trousers that can cover the shape of a womans legs and backside, wax jira maahan.

الحمد للهPraise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds; and may His blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his Family and Companions.

We have mentioned in detail the compulsory condition that the clothes of women should meet. To find out the details read the Fatwa: 81209.
Know that wearing Jeans pants is not allowed for a woman whether worn to school or elsewhere since it exposes the shape of body and reveals the figure clearly. In addition, it resembles the dress of men and it is forbidden for a woman to imitate men. The Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi wa Sallam): "Cursed men who make themselves like women and cursed women who make themselves like men" .
Allah knows best.

That is a stance from one fatwa.
