a wali waa kii taqiga ah oo zuhdigiisa lagu yaqaano, quraanka na waa lagu sheegay. but we arent like christians and monks etc who take them as 'saints' and revere them in a way that transgresses boundaries. and i really despise how some academics like i.m. lewis and haji mukhtar in their work speak of them as so called 'saints'. this is where sufis go wrong mainly. xitaa waxaa la odhan jirey sh muxyidiin celi waa kii gilgilashada aduunka ka badbaadin jidhay dalkeena  this is the type of mystical nonsense our sufis have reached to.

[quote="Shirib"[trynna see where the rant fits, not really getting it[/quote]

What is it that you don't understand? That most somalis are munaafuqiin who use islam as a show-off? that we have - I am the only muslim- attitude?

P.s. as a moderator, you have an obligation to move all religious topics to the islamic sub-forums.

i get that aspect, but the rant seemed to have no real substantial sense in the discussion.

Religious topics are allowed in the generals.

Actually, that rant was posted on two threads; and the message is clear: we are a nation of munaafuqiin with a discourse of kaligii muslims.

There is a sub forum called islam yaa Iron-sheikh.

Besides, I don't think people who daily throw abuses at other somalis using the tribal card, calling the maiming and deaths of other muslims in the name of tribe, should post or discuss islam. So, if you want to post a religious topic, go to the islamic section.

there's a lot of sub forums, but the folks who run this place, have only banished politics and qabyaalad from the generals

Isn't it time you have a zero tolerance towards people who label other muslims as "atheists" when they disagree with them?

I remember these claims from Suufiya:

Madad yaa Jeylaani Agithnaa yaguufu   This was outright shirk.

C/Qaadir Jeylaani Dhulka ayuu taako taako ugu jiraa   This was outright shirk.

I remember Qaadiriya not praying Jameeca with the rest of the Muslims. They used to pray by themselves when the rest of the Muslims go to the mosque.

I remember Qaadiriya asking for material and financial support, and if you say "Alle ha sahlo," and basically said no to their request, they used to start cursing you and said this will happen to you, that will happen to you.

Subxaanallaah waar Alle ummada waa uga reeyey oo dad diin yaqaana baa yimid.

We would have reminded in jaahiliya if things continue as they were with suufiya being the dominant religious group in Somalia. Alle baa mahad leh oo kuwaas naga soo gaaray.
Kaligii/kaligeed muslim. Adigu taada ka adkaaw! :x :x :x

What makes you think your wahabist approach is the right one??????

Walaahi I am sick and tired of this nation of preachers, hypocrites and faith abusers.
That is what Somalis are. You cannot engage in a conversation with a Somali online, on the street or at home without getting involved in religion. I wouldn’t mind if the preacher is a pious person who has gained a degree in Islamic studies or someone who at least commands a life that is based on the teachings of islam.

Somalis abuse Islam. It is the bogeyman to be called on when there is an intellectual bankruptcy. You will meet a murderer, a thief, a drug add, qat addict, a welfare cheat etc invoke the Islamic card when caught red handed. Islam comes into contention when logic fails, as a last resort to silence someone.
Oops, Lamagoodle, these three points must have touched a nerve on your part. It is true the Suufis backhome used to do or say these:

Madad yaa Jeylaani Agithnaa yaguufu  This was outright shirk.

C/Qaadir Jeylaani Dhulka ayuu taako taako ugu jiraa. This was outright shirk.

I remember Qaadiriya not praying Jameeca with the rest of the Muslims. They used to pray by themselves when the rest of the Muslims go to the mosque.
It seems your response was emotional, but those are facts where you like it or not. Prove if those statements are false. As a matter fact, Suufiya has abandoned the third point lately after they witnessed Somali society ridiculing that stand, and they now started praying with the rest of the Muslims.
