Roaches? I have never seen one till I visited Saudi Arabia, you must be from the deep ghettos. I do have an irrational fear of buses. Riding them is fine, it's their outside that makes me uneasy.
big cities you cant escape a roach, toronto, detroit, minneopolis. the bigger the city the less of a chance an apartment building is roach free

LOL you and westldn are a match made in heaven

Didn't think dixon was that bad. Was born in that building (not lierally) so don't remember anything about it

Roaches? Atlanta's made me indifferent towards roaches. Like, you'd be chilling outside and a roach would just fall from a tree, like a bird or some shit.

But yo, when I lived in New York as child, I was terrified of subway rats. Wallahi, to this day, I sometimes jump back when I see a squirrel, thinking that's it's some rabid-ass rat.

"He’s speaking of the Dixon Road area at Kipling Avenue, around which live some 25,000 of the approximately 100,000 Somali who have immigrated to Canada"

  Does this seem accurate? 25,000 Somalis in the area?

Somalis are very clean people though, probably the cleanest type of immigrants. You would think Dixon wouldn't have a cleanliness/cockroach issue with that many Somalis :o

Nanees,

lol Somali homes are way cleaner than other people. This is fact. You can insult Somalis when it comes to alot of things, but cleanliness is NOT one of them

there are a lot of somalis there, but i don't think 25,000 is an accurate number. somalis in dixon are being replaced by the desis now who already dominate the 370/80/90 section, whilst the somalis still dominate 320/30/40.

lol @ somalis being very clean people. that's a lie. you can visit any somali restaurant or "mall" in toronto and you'll want to puke as soon as you see/smell the state of their public restrooms. the roach problem in dixon is mainly confined to the buildings somalis dominate & the elevators and staircases of those buildings smell like friggin urinals so i don't know where you get the idea that somalis are clean people. :?
